The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Center has issued an advisory after yesterday’s attack on a commercial vessel approximately 9 nautical miles southwest of Al Mukha, Yemen.
According to UKMTO, the vessel was struck by an uncrewed surface vessel (USV), igniting a fire that ultimately forced the crew to abandon ship. The vessel subsequently sank. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.

NEW: UKMTO has confirmed that the Indian flagged commercial vessel MSV Faize Noore Oliya was attacked by an uncrewed surface vessel (USV) about 9 nautical miles southwest of Al Mukha, Yemen.
The attack caused a fire on board before the vessel sank. All crew members were rescued by local authorities and are reported safe. Authorities are investigating the incident, and UKMTO has advised vessels in the area to transit with caution.
