The Houthis have claimed responsibility for targeting the Saudi oil tanker Daisy in the Gulf of Aden with a ballistic missile, alleging the vessel was struck and forced to reverse course, according to the group’s military spokesman.

The reported location of the attack loosely coincides with the area of an earlier United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) advisory, in which the master of a tanker reported hearing a loud explosion in close proximity to the vessel. UKMTO stated that all crew members were safe and accounted for, with no reported damage or environmental pollution.
