Publix’s answer to every grievance about the lack of pay and benefits is ‘but we give you stocks.’ I fail to see how stocks is going to help your employees pay their rent that month. This is the first retailer I have ever worked for that doesn’t give employee discount and they don’t really offer that many programs for their associates.
