The other girls weren’t even back-up vocals. Nicole did the backup vocals on the album as well. 😭😭😭 The problem with the PCD was the management. They started as a burlesque-type thing and eventually they were a singing group. The other ‘singers’ were signed and made to believe they would be singers but they were just glorified dancers.
Canadian here. Most “poutine” OP is referring to is just mozzarella cheese and gravy. I’d say the legit:bastardized poutine ratio is about 1:5. It’s still delicious and is called poutine on the menu. I prefer the melted cheese over the curds tbh. The squeaking curds lower the mark of legit poutine for me. So, no excuses.
