William Burns, current head of the CIA and former U.S. ambassador to Moscow, wrote a memo in 2008 warning that NATO expansion into Ukraine was insane and would provoke a military response from Russia. We know this thanks to Julian Assange. Gee I wonder why he was so persecuted?
