A Lebanese political official tells Saudi-owned Al-Sharq Al-Awsat that a full Hezbollah evacuation of the Ali Tahr hills in southern Lebanon is the necessary path to advancing the Israel-Lebanon framework agreement. The issue will be central to the next round of talks Rome hosts in early September. Hezbollah has not complied with the Lebanese government’s demand to allow army deployment across the hills, including its military sites.
