Eight more guns were mounted inside the four towers on the quarter galleries at the back of the ship. During the sinking of the Silent Mary in the Devil’s Triangle, approximately three dozen cannons fell off the ship, mostly from the quarterdeck and the lowest, most damaged gun deck.
