I’ve owned Toyota vehicles for thirty years and have always had a good trustworthy relationship with a number of dealerships. This seems a little shady to me and simply a way to (minimally) boost profits. Does anyone know of a recommendation by Toyota to use fuel treatment? If so, at what intervals? Other thoughts about my experience?
He also said it was recommended in the Owner’s Manual. When I asked why Toyota didn’t include it with the ‘free’ Toyota Care service for the first two years, he didn’t really have an answer. I declined and when I checked out, my service record reflected, “Customer was advised that the following is needed. Fuel Treatment. Customer declined.”
