The First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye, visited the Heydar Aliyev Park in Ankara.
The Azerbaijani delegation laid a wreath at the monument to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to the memory of the great leader.
Then the Chief of the General Staff met with the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Yashar Güler.
Welcoming the delegation, the Turkish National Defense Minister noted that the strategic alliance between the two countries is based on friendly and fraternal relations.
Colonel General K. Valiev, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, emphasized that the friendly relations between the heads of state of both fraternal countries, as in other areas, had a positive impact on military cooperation.
The meeting, attended by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Türkiye, Rashad Mammadov, discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the military, military-technical, military-educational and other fields, as well as issues of regional security.

Находящийся с официальным визитом в Турецкой Республике первый заместитель министра обороны Азербайджанской Республики – начальник Генерального штаба Азербайджанской Армии генерал-полковник Керим Велиев посетил парк Гейдара Алиева в Анкаре.
Азербайджанская делегация возложила венок к памятнику Общенациональному лидеру Гейдару Алиеву, выразив глубокое почтение памяти выдающейся личности.
Затем начальник Генерального штаба встретился с министром национальной обороны Турецкой Республики Яшаром Гюлером.
Поприветствовав делегацию, министр национальной обороны Турции отметил, что стратегический союз между Турцией и Азербайджаном построен на дружеских и братских отношениях.
Поблагодарив за теплый прием, генерал-полковник К.Велиев подчеркнул, что искренние отношения глав двух братских государств положительно влияют на сферу военного сотрудничества, равно как и на другие сферы.
На встрече, в которой также принимал участие посол Азербайджана в Турции Рашад Мамедов, были обсуждены перспективы развития двустороннего сотрудничества в военной, военно-технической, военно-образовательной и в других сферах, а также вопросы региональной безопасности.

Позиции Азербайджанской Армии в Гедабейском направлении вновь подверглись обстрелу
11 сентября в 20:40 подразделения вооруженных сил Армении с позиций в направлении населенного пункта Джил Чемберекского района вновь подвергли обстрелу из стрелкового оружия позиции Азербайджанской Армии в направлении населенного пункта Новоивановка Гедабейского района.
Подразделениями Азербайджанской Армии были приняты ответные меры в указанном направлении.

В Армении начались армяно-американские учения Eagle Partner. Об этом пишет AFP со ссылкой на представителя армии США в Европе и Африке.
Согласно заявлению Минобороны Армении, учения направлены на “повышение уровня оперативной совместимости” с силами США в международных миротворческих миссиях и обмен передовым опытом.
Также учения помогут армянской миротворческой бригаде “соответствовать стандартам НАТО”, пишет AFP.
Учения продлятся до 20 сентября на полигонах “Зар” и “Армавир”. В них примут участие около 85 американских и 175 армянских военнослужащих.
Пресс-секретарь президента России Дмитрий Песков заявил, что решение Армении не проводить учения с Организацией договора о коллективной безопасности (ОДКБ), а работать вместо этого с США требует “очень глубокого анализа”, пишет AFP.
“Конечно, мы постараемся всё это осмыслить и понять. Но в любом случае мы будем делать это в тесном партнёрском диалоге с армянской стороной”, – сказал Песков.
На прошлой неделе российский МИД вызвал посла Армении в Москве Вагаршака Арутюняна. Ему было “сделано жёсткое представление” за “серию недружественных шагов”, предпринятых, по мнению Кремля, Ереваном. В заявлении МИД России говорится, что Москва, несмотря на претензии, продолжает считать Армению союзником.
