Mossad and Shin Bet foiled an Iranian Intelligence Ministry plot to infiltrate a foreign cell into Israel to target senior officials.

The investigation uncovered a proxy network linking Iranian intelligence officers, Tehran-backed criminal intermediaries and a France-based recruiter who traveled to Iran for instructions and payment.

Officials say the case reflects Iran’s continued use of deniable foreign operatives against Israeli and Jewish targets worldwide.
