So their lawyer put out a statement today. It does not argue the law. It says the brothers are in solitary confinement in orange jumpsuits. It calls them political prisoners. It claims they met members of Congress at the Capitol days ago. It ends by telling readers that today it is Andrew and Tristan, tomorrow it is Trump, then it is you.
Notice the focus on Trump being next.
The method is old. Take two men facing rape, trafficking, and child image charges. Cut the charges out of the story. Sell the arrest as an attack on free speech. Tell millions of young men they are next.
“Charged with nothing in America,” the lawyer says. They were arrested here on Britain’s warrant to face Britain’s charges. That includes new ones involving four more women and indecent images of a child.
