Trump team pitches $200 bln Ukraine rebuild plan tied to Russian reintegration — WSJ
The Trump administration has provided European governments with a one-page proposal to fund Ukraine’s reconstruction using roughly $200 billion in frozen Russian assets, the Wall Street Journal reported. The plan also outlines a path for Moscow’s eventual economic reintegration, including major U.S. investment in Russia’s energy, minerals and Arctic projects.
European officials pushed back, calling elements of the proposal unrealistic and warning it could revive Russian energy leverage and restore the country’s economic strength.
