The IDF confirms killing Hamas sniper Majed Abu Salmiya in an airstrike on Gaza City’s Shati camp, saying he was preparing an imminent attack on Israeli forces.
Abu Salmiya was the brother of Shifa Hospital director Mohammed Abu Salmiya, previously detained by Israel over Hamas activity at the hospital.
Palestinian media report several relatives were also killed and the family home destroyed.
