Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced sweeping civil sanctions targeting the families and home villages of the two terrorists behind yesterday’s deadly shooting at Jerusalem’s Ramot Junction.
Katz said the measures include demolishing all illegal structures in the terrorists’ villages and revoking 750 work and entry permits for residents. He emphasized that these actions follow the direct recommendations of senior defense officials, including Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian, head of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.
The attackers, identified as Mohammad Taha, 21, of Qatanna, and Muthanna Amro, 20, of Qubeiba, murdered six people and injured more than a dozen others before being killed by an off-duty soldier and armed civilians at the scene.
