I cannot stress enough how much the UN Charter and International Law do not matter to the US. Their freedom is almost exclusively defined by the idea that they define what binds them, no one else.

Well I’d caveat with International Law means nothing to the US and shouldn’t. Only concepts agreed too by Congress should be considered. Foreign nations have no right to dictate anything to America.
