It would be quite easy if you just linked to official documents or something similar that can unquestionably establish the actual number if it is available. If that isn’t, one has to basically treat any ‘OSINT’ on what it may with some doubt as it may or may not be accurate.

What’s the source? Jim Taiclet cited it? Did he say how he knew? What if all these are all pointing towards the same handful of open source reporting or ‘OSINT’ accounts. How do I know and establish the accuracy of the primary source? What is their confidence level?
