As a recruiting thing, maybe. Probably useful. But giving everyone access to an OSINT expert has some profoundly terrible downstream effects. And I feel like that’s obvious. The normies would freak.

See my last point: given that the Bush admin insisted on regime change in Syria — even after Syria cooperated with the US in stopping “international jihadis” from entering Iraq — it wouldn’t surprise me if Syria finally turned a blind eye and stopped cooperating.
