As someone who used to travel (pre-Covid) to NYC about 3x a year, budget a MINIMUM of $150 a day. Also, the subway is your friend. Manhattan is a LOT bigger than you think it is and while I love to walk, walking the entire length of the Island (or even from Times Square to Battery Park) is a HIKE. Taking cabs or Uber ads up quickly.
