Zoro needed his final form asura to fight Kaido while Luffy got up seconds later and fought Kaido in base with ACoC and lasted much longer against him. Luffy is stronger, faster, has better haki, more experience fighting strong enemies, a god fruit with bootleg toon powers, and is the main character of a shonen.
