Russia’s Dmitry Medvedev on NATO:
I am not saying they should accept the Russian point of view, but they could simply assess what is happening — why we have these concerns, why we don’t like it when a particular state joins NATO.
I say: “Our missiles are aimed at your cities, and your missiles are aimed at ours. If you move closer to us, the flight time becomes shorter and shorter.”
“Why should we be happy about NATO coming closer?” They all understand this, but they ignored our position.
