#OTD Oct 18 1950, David Greenglass pleaded guilty to espionage for knowingly passing US atomic bomb secrets to Soviet spies Julius & Ethel Rosenberg, who were later convicted and executed. Greenglass was sentenced to 15 years in prison, but was released after 9 1/2 years.
